Taysom Hill Powers Into End Zone For Saints Touchdown On Christmas Eve

SALT LAKE CITY – Former BYU Cougars and current New Orleans Saints standout Taysom Hill battled his way into the end zone for a touchdown against the Cleveland Browns in Week 16.
The Browns hosted the Saints at FirstEnergy Stadium on Christmas Eve, Saturday, December 24.
With 9:40 remaining in the third quarter, the former BYU star fought through Cleveland defenders and across the goal line for an eight-yard touchdown.
Hill’s touchdown run tied the game at 10-10.

The run capped a nine-play, 67-yard drive that took 5:20.
After the score, Hill had six carries for 51 yards and a touchdown.
Hill entered the game with 449 rushing yards and five touchdowns on the ground this season. He’d also caught seven passes for 66 yards and two touchdowns.

The Saints entered the contest with a 5-9 record, including 1-5 on the road.
New Orleans’ game against Cleveland is broadcast on CBS and NFL Sunday Ticket.
About Taysom Hill
Prior to his NFL career, the Idaho native was a quarterback at BYU. Hill played for the Cougars from 2012-16.
During his college career, threw for 6,929 yards, 43 touchdowns, and 31 interceptions. He ran for 2,815 yards and 32 touchdowns.
After going undrafted, Hill signed a free agent deal with the Green Bay Packers. Before the regular season, Hill was waived by the Packers and picked up by the Saints. Since then, Hill has become a key piece of New Orleans’ offense.
This past offseason, the ex-Cougar signal-caller transitioned from quarterback to tight end.
Before the Browns game, the Pocatello, Idaho native had run 289 times for 1,632 yards and 21 touchdowns during his five seasons in the league. Hill has also thrown for 2,241 yards, 10 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. He’d also hauled in 73 receptions for 454 yards and nine touchdowns as a receiver.
