Following his rookie season a year ago, Wilson gifted his offensive line a pair of round-trip airline tickets.
“Trying to take care of the O-line this year. Thanking them for protecting me,” the former BYU QB said in a video shared to his Twitter account in January. “I hope those guys enjoy it. I really appreciate them, you know, taking care of me.”

Wilson is coming off his first start since being benched in favor of Mike White in November. The Jets fell to the Detroit Lions in a close game in Week 15. However, Jets head coach Robert Saleh praised Wilson’s play after the game.
“I thought he played well,” Saleh said of Wilson. “Moved the ball, created explosive plays.”
Wilson finished the game 18/35 passing for 317 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. The second-year quarterback also ran the ball three times for seven yards. He was sacked four times.
New York’s next game is at home against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday, December 22 at 6:15 p.m. (MDT). The game will be broadcast on Prime Video.
