SALT LAKE CITY- Utah can’t be stopped it seems like after winning their second straight Pac-12 Championship Game. So far the Utes have cleaned up on the recruiting trail and are flirting with a Top-20 ranked class. Getting a re-commitment from four-star defensive back CJ Blocker will go a long way to helping Utah finish strong ahead of Early Signing Day on December 21st.

Blocker recently decommitted from Utah but kept in touch and continued to list them as a top-contender for his services. A few weeks later Blocker decided the Utes were still the college team for him and re-committed Tuesday afternoon.

Let Me Re-Introduce Myself
CJ Blocker will be adding speed to Utah’s cornerback room in 2023 along with fellow defensive back Smith Snowden who committed to the Utes the day before. Blocker stands at 6′ even and 165 pounds making him a good size for the position, but it’s really his track speed that sets him apart running a 10.47 second 100 meter. On top of that, Blocker brings solid hips and balance which could make him dangerous for other teams while playing man coverage.
Snowden acknowledged Blocker’s recommitment to the Utes and in general how things appear to be shaping up for their signing class.
This class is getting scaryyyy https://t.co/mJg3pzel5b

Both DB’s verbals come not long after Clark Phillips III let it be known he was officially heading to the 2023 NFL Draft. Blocker along with Snowden have the potential to be the next great defensive backs at Utah under position coach Sharrieff Shah who is continuously making a name for himself in the industry as a top talent developer.
