SALT LAKE CITY – Rudy Gobert scored 22 points and grabbed 13 points as the Minnesota Timberwolves downed the Utah Jazz 118-108.

The Jazz were playing without Lauri Markkanen (illness), Collin Sexton (hamstring), and Simone Fontecchio (ankle), while the Timberwolves were without Karl-Anthony Towns for the fourth straight game.

With the loss, the Jazz fell to 15-13 on the season.

First Quarter

Malik Beasley got off to a quick start for the Jazz scoring eight points on 3-3 shooting starting alongside Jordan Clarkson and Nickeil Alexander-Walker in the backcourt.

Conley added seven points to this total in the second quarter and had nine at the break, Beasley continued to lead the Jazz with 11.

The Jazz outshot the Timberwolves from the three-point line knocking down 7-24, while Minnesota managed just three makes on 14 attempts. However, the Timberwolves made 16 first half free-throws to the Jazz five.

After two the Jazz trailed Minnesota 61-46.

Third Quarter

Jordan Clarkson scored nine quick third quarter points in an effort to shrink the Timberwolves half time lead.

With Anthony Edwards sidelined by foul trouble, the Jazz rallied and tied the game at 79 with two minutes left in the third.

The Timberwolves closed the quarter with a much needed three to wrestle momentum back from the Jazz.

After three the Jazz trailed the Timberwolves 82-79.

Fourth Quarter
