Utah Jazz Guard Collin Sexton Suffers ‘Mild’ Hamstring Strain

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz announced that guard Collin Sexton will be re-evaluated in one week after straining his right hamstring against Golden State.
Sexton was injured early in the fourth quarter of a Jazz win over the Warriors.

Sexton underwent an MRI to determine the severity of the injury.

With 7:37 remaining in the game, Collin Sexton exited the game with a hamstring injury and the Jazz later ruled him out for the remainder of the contest.
When Sexton left, he recorded 17 points and three assists on 4-of-9 shooting from the field, 1-for-3 from downtown, and 8-for-10 at the foul line.

In his fifth season in the NBA and first with the Utah Jazz, the former Alabama guard is averaging 14.3 points on 49.3 percent shooting, 3.0 assists, and 2.4 rebounds in 24.5 minutes per contest during the 2022-23 season.
The Jazz are scheduled to play four games before Sexton is reevaluated again. He will miss games against the Minnesota Timberwolves (12/9), Denver Nuggets (12/10), and games against the New Orleans Pelicans on December 13 & 15.

Jazz fans can look forward to this game being more than just the return of three-time Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert.

Guard Mike Conley is also expected to make his return to the Jazz lineup after missing the past nine games with a strained left knee.
Barring a setback, Jazz anticipate that Mike Conley Jr. (knee) will return vs. Timberwolves tomorrow night, source told ESPN. Jazz have gone 3-6 in Conley’s absence.

The guard appeared to hyperextended his knee while fighting over a screen against the Trail Blazers, but an MRI revealed that the 35-year-old avoided any major injury.
