After spending four seasons with the University of Stanford, Damuni announced his intention to transfer earlier this week.
He was one of several Cardinal to enter the transfer portal after longtime head coach David Shaw unexpectedly resigned following the teams loss to BYU ended their season.

“I want to thank my Heavenly Father first and foremost for a great four years at Stonford University. The relationships I’ve made on and off the field will last forever,” Damuni wrote.
“Thank you to all my teammates for pushing me to be better everyday and for all the memories. I love you boys. Thank you to my coaches, trainers, the football staff and everyone else for the support you’ve given me during my time on The Farm. After careful consideration and earnest prayer, my wife and I feel it would be best to enter the transfer portals as a graduate transfer. God bless!”

About Levani Damuni
A 6’2, 242 pound linebacker from Providence, UT, Damuni brings plenty of experience with him to Salt Lake.
With his father, Waqa, as the Director of Student-Athlete Development/Academic Coordinator at Utah State and a pair of relatives in the BYU program, Levani had his choice of programs in his home state to join. Somewhat surprisingly, Damuni chose to forge his own path with the Utes.
