PROVO, Utah – Activity in the transfer portal continues for the BYU football program. The latest entry into the portal is wide receiver Terence Fall.
Fall is a 6-foot-3, 185-pound third-year freshman who signed with BYU in the 2020 class. A native of Paris, France, Fall began playing football when he moved to the United States and attended Aquinas High School in California.

Fall announced his decision to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal on social media. The window for undergrad fall student-athletes to enter the portal begins tomorrow, December 5.
“Dear Cougar Nation, first of all I am blessed to have been part of a program like BYU, I have grown so much as a player and as a man. I am so grateful for my coaches, for the opportunities they gave me, and for everything they have done for me. I met people here that I now consider brothers and that will be part of my life forever. I cherish all my teammates and am thankful to everyone who has been part of this journey. Cougar Nation has shown nothing but love to me during my time here and will always remember these moments.
“With that being said, and after talking with my family, I have decided to enter the transfer portal and will have 3 years of eligibility left.”
Terence Fall was at BYU for three seasons
Fall was in a loaded wide receiver room at BYU that included star Puka Nacua. Which meant there weren’t many opportunities for playing time. He played in 28 snaps during his three seasons in Provo.
Fall was showing signs of his ability during fall camp this past August. In one of BYU’s camp scrimmages, Fall made multiple catches. Against Utah Tech last month, Fall scored his only touchdown on a jet sweep.
BYU Passing Game Coordinator and Wide Receiver coach Fesi Sitake wished nothing but the best for Fall as he exits the program.
“I love this young man and his story. It’s been a great blessing to coach him over the last several years. Whoever is fortunate to land him, will be getting a very special person,” wrote Sitake on Twitter.
BYU football moving forward at receiver
Fall’s entry into the portal doesn’t come as a surprise. Considering BYU’s wide receiver pipeline as they move into the Big 12, the Cougars have a verbal commitment from Josiah Phillips. Plus, they have American Fork standout Devin Downing entering the program for his first year after serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Entering the NCAA Transfer Portal will give Fall the chance to look at the market and see what school can provide an opportunity for more playing time.
