SALT LAKE CITY – Real Salt Lake has announced a new and exciting partnership with SeatGeek that will enhance the fan experience at America First Field.
Beginning at the start of the 2023 Major League Soccer season, SeatGeek will act as the club’s official ticketing provider.
SeatGeek is a technology platform that is transforming the live-event experience for fans, teams, and venues around the world. SeatGeek’s box office technology is built on Unify – a modern and intuitive client interface that allows teams to create, sell and manage access to their live entertainment ecosystem. Unify enables clients to create new user experiences, offer more robust inventory, and capture better economics.
SeatGeek sports a portfolio of over 200 clients worldwide, including eight Major League Soccer clubs and half of the English Premier League’s clubs – including Liverpool F.C. and Manchester City F.C. SeatGeek also announced a partnership with the Utah Jazz on November 10, 2022. Interestingly, Real Salt Lake and Utah Jazz owner Ryan Smith is an investor in SeatGeek.
“When the team was purchased earlier this year, our new ownership group made it clear that we would work with technology partners that put our fans’ and our supporter groups’ experiences at the forefront,” said Real Salt Lake President, John Kimball. “SeatGeek has become the top choice for some of the most respected clubs and leagues across the globe, and we’re eager for our fans and supporters to experience all it can do.”
SeatGeek has the industry-leading Net Promoter Score (NPS) as of September 2021, SeatGeek’s platform will provide fans of Real Salt Lake with an unrivaled game day experience. Once a fan selects seats through the SeatGeek app or website, the platform will provide driving directions, weather updates, and in-stadium benefits for the user to utilize.
“In no particular order, we are bullish on the market, we are bullish on the state of Utah and we’re bullish on John Kimball and Real Salt Lake,” Jeff Ianello, VP of Client Relations at SeatGeek, told Tom Hackett of KSL Sports in an exclusive interview.
In January 2022, Ryan Smith and David Blitzer gained ownership of Real Salt Lake. Ever since their introduction, the club has undergone significant evolution and the latest partnership with SeatGeek solidifies the club’s ambition and vision of creating the best fan experience possible for those attending Real Salt Lake matches.
The introduction of SeatGeek at Real Salt Lake and the Utah Jazz is also in line with the development and growth the state of Utah has endured as it relates to the technology industry. The state of Utah is widely regarded as a technology hub and the SeatGeek partnership only aids that belief.
Real Salt Lake season ticket members will receive an e-mail from the Club on Thursday, December 1st with detailed instructions on how to create and access their new accounts within SeatGeek ahead of the 2021 MLS season.
