Bowl-Bound Utah State Aggies Await Bowl, Opponent Announcement

LOGAN, Utah – The Utah State Aggies know they are going bowling, all that’s left is finding out the who & where in regards to their next game.
Utah State’s regular season closed on a low note, falling 42-23 at Boise State to finish the regular season at .500. The loss also ended the Aggies three game win-streak as they went 5-3 in Mountain West games.

USU is bowl-eligible for the second consecutive season and 10th time in the past 12 years. The Aggies played in five-straight bowls, winning three, from 2011-2015. After missing out on bowl season in 2016, the Aggies played in three straight bowls from 2017-2019. Utah State played in just six bowl games in their first 119 years of play.
Mountain West Bowl Tie-Ins
The Mountain West has five bowl tie-ins with seven, possibly eight bowl-eligible teams this season.
Boise State (9-3, 8-0), Air Force (9-3, 5-3), Wyoming (7-5, 5-3), Fresno State (8-4, 7-1), San Jose State (7-4, 5-3) San Diego State (7-5, 5-3) and Utah State (6-6, 5-3) are each bowl eligible thanks to reaching the six-win plateau.

Presently, UNLV (5-7, 3-5) isn’t eligible but could sneak in through the back door if not enough six-win teams exist to fill the 82 bowl slots.
