Jazz Losing Streak Hits Three With Loss To Golden State

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz fell to the Golden State Warriors 129-118 to extend their losing streak to three games.
Lauri Markkanen scored 24 to lead the Jazz who were shorthanded without Mike Conley for the third straight game.
With the loss the Jazz fell to 12-9 on the season, and have lost six of their last eight games.
First Quarter
The Jazz were out of rhythm against the experienced Warriors giving up extra opportunities on the offense glass and throwing careless turnovers.
Steph Curry got going early scoring 15 points for the Warriors on an efficient 6-10 shooting.

The Jazz meanwhile shot just 2-10 from the three-point line and 9-25 overall.
After one the Jazz trailed the Warriors 37-23.
Second Quarter
The Jazz continued their cold shooting to open the quarter, but tightened up their defensive effort.

After trailing by as much as 17 early the Jazz were able to cut the Warriors lead to single digits by halftime.
At the break, the Jazz trailed the Warriors 59-51.
Third Quarter
Kelly Olynyk started the second half start and the Jazz battled all the way back to take a 71-70 lead over the Warriors five minutes into the third quarter.
However, the Warriors answered with a 19-8 run to rebuild their double-digit lead.

Olynyk scored 13 points in the quarter while Klay Thompson led the Warriors with 12.
After three the Jazz trailed the Warriors 97-86.
Fourth Quarter
The Warriors’ hot shooting sparked them to a 10-2 run early in the fourth quarter to build their lead to 16 midway through the period.
After erasing the big first half lead, the Jazz were out of gas in the fourth quarter and never truly threatened to get back into the game.
Lauri Markkanen scored 24 points to lead the Jazz while Curry had 33 to lead the Warriors.
The Jazz fell to the Warriors in Golden State 128-118 for their third straight loss.
