BOISE – BYU football had social media buzzing after the 31-28 victory against Boise State.
Heading into the game, BYU was on a four-game losing streak, and the Broncos were on a four-game winning streak. So naturally, there weren’t many people giving BYU a chance.
But Kalani Sitake-coached BYU teams tend to pull off upsets when they are a big underdog. BYU has won three consecutive games as a touchdown underdog, dating back to 2019. All three of those victories were against rivals (2022 Boise, 2021 Utah, 2019 Boise).
Here are some notable social media reactions during and after BYU’s win at Boise State. Spoiler: People couldn’t get enough of Puka Nacua’s game-winning touchdown grab late in the fourth quarter.
That’s a touchdown! Right foot is down! I see you puka!!

That’s a very solid win for Kalani Sitake and BYU.
On the road against statistically one of the best defenses in the country. BSU found an offensive stride over the last 4 games scoring an average of 36 points/game.
BYU’s defense stood up when they absolutely had to.

A POSITIVE: For the foreseeable future BYU ended all of their rivalries vs Utah, Utah St, and Boise St with a win before they enter the Big 12 🔥
