Utah Rushing Attack Runs Roughshod Over Arizona In Win

SALT LAKE CITY – The No. 14 University of Utah Utes ran for 302 yards on the ground in a rain-soaked, 45-20 blowout win over the Arizona Wildcats.

All week long Utah fans have wondered about the availability of quarterback Cam Rising and tight end Dalton Kincaid. Rising is in uniform and expected to play.

Kincaid is not expected to see the field against the Wildcats.

First Quarter

After winning the coin toss, Utah deferred to the second half, giving the Wildcats the opening possession.

The Utes force a turnover on the Wildcats first drive with a Jonah Ellis fumble recovery after Jayden de Laura coughed it up.

On the end-around, Jaylen Dixon took the handoff from Cam Rising and found pay dirt, giving Utah a 7-0 lead.

On third down, de Laura kept it for the touchdown.

Taking the first snaps of his collegiate career, Nate Johnson gave Utah a 14-7 lead with a rushing touchdown to the right side.

Second Quarter

Ja’Quinden Jackson’s score gave Utah a two touchdown lead.

Up Next

The Utes (7-2, 5-1) remain in Salt Lake City where they will welcome in the Stanford Cardinal (3-6, 1-6) on Saturday, November 12. Kickoff for this game is yet to be determined.
