Farmington Shuts Down American Fork, Advances From Quarterfinals

SALT LAKE CITY – The Farmington Phoenix upset the American Fork Cavemen for a big road victory to advance from the 6A quarterfinals.
No. 5 Farmington 19 @ No. 4 American Fork 3
After a scoreless first first quarter, the Phoenix scored 19 unanswered points across the second and third quarters. American Fork scored its only points of the afternoon on a field goal with three minutes left in the game. Travis Hoopes led Farmington with two rushing touchdowns.
Farmington will advance to the 6A semifinal and will face No. 1 Corner Canyon on Thursday, November 10 at Rice-Eccles Stadium. Kickoff is at 11:00 a.m. MT on KSLSports.com.

No. 9 West 7 @ No. 1 Corner Canyon 35
Corner Canyon hosted the West Panthers for a 6A quarterfinal matchup that resulted in a 35-7 win for the Chargers. The Chargers scored 35 unanswered points during the opening three quarters of game time before the Panthers socred their only points of the game on a touchdown midway through the fourth quarter. Drew Patterson led Corner Canyon with three rushing touchdowns. Chargers quarterback Isaac Wilson tossed two touchdown passes in the game.
Corner Canyon will advance to the 6A semifinal and will face No. 5 Farmington on Thursday, November 10 at Rice-Eccles Stadium. Kickoff is at 11:00 a.m. MT on KSLSports.com.

No. 7 Davis 22 @ No. 2 Skyridge 47
The Skyridge Falcons flew past the Davis Darts and into the 6A semifinals on Friday night, 47-22. The Falcons controlled the game from the opening kickoff and owned an early 20-0 advantage on the scoreboard. After Davis found the end zone in the second quarter, the Falcons outscored the Darts in the second half to seal the blow out victory. McCae Hillstead threw four touchdown passes for Skyridge.
Skyridge will advance to the 6A semifinal and will face No. 3 Bingham on Thursday, November 10 at Rice-Eccles Stadium. Kickoff is at 2:00 p.m. MT on KSLSports.com.

No. 11 Lone Peak 19 @ No. 3 Bingham 25
The Bingham Miners came out on top in a battle with the Lone Peak Knights, 25-19. It was a close game throughout the entire contest as the teams traded scores. Ultimately, the Miners were able to edge the Knights with a 18-13 performance in the second half, including 10 start points to the end the game. Dallen Martinez accounted to a pair of Miner touchdowns.
