SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz dominated the Memphis Grizzlies in the second and third quarters, completing a two-game sweep over last year’s Western Conference two-seed.
Lauri Markkanen had his best game in a Jazz uniform scoring 31 points and adding 12 rebounds in the 121-105 win.
With the victory, the Jazz moved to 6-2 on the season.
First Quarter
After missing Saturday’s game Ja Morant got off to a hot start scoring 11 points in the first quarter.

Memphis struggled to score against the Jazz swarming paint on defense and knocked down just two of their first nine attempts from the free-throw line.

The Jazz outscored the Grizzlies 38-18 in the frame thanks to active hands in the passing lanes, while knocking down 7-12 from the three-point line.
At the half, the Jazz led Memphis 61-44.
Third Quarter
The Grizzlies opened the third quarter by bullying the Jazz and trimmed their deficit to just 10 at 67-57.
But Lauri Markkanen and the Jazz answered with a 19-6 run over the next five minutes to build an 86-65 lead.
