SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz are getting into the Halloween spirit ahead of their October 31 matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies.
While many teams around the NBA will celebrate with player-hosted Halloween parties, the Jazz included, some of the player in Utah have taken their love of the holiday to another level.
Here’s a look at a few different ways Jazz players recognize Halloween.
Collin Sexton Has Meaningful Horror Tattoos
Jazz fans may have not seen Collin Sexton’s full array of horror tattoos. That’s because most of them sit on the thigh of his left leg and are covered on game night.
The new Jazz guard has tattoos of several classic horror villains on his thigh including Chucky, Freddy Kreuger, Jason Vorhees, and Pennywise the Clown from “It”.

And while Sexton admitted he is a fan of Horror movies, there’s an even better reason he’s got the tattoos on his right surgically repaired right leg.
“I got them as a reminder to not be scared of getting back on the court,” Sexton said.
Sexton had meniscus surgery on his left knee in November of 2021 which cost him most of last season before he was traded to the Jazz.
Jazz Jordan Clarkson Goes All Out For Halloween
Like Sexton, Jordan Clarkson has his own horror-based tattoos hidden from the public eye.
The former Sixth-Man of the Year award winner has Chucky and Leatherface from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre tattooed just above his right hip. The Jazz guard said he’s not done with the area and plans to get more Halloween-inspired tattoos done on his stomach and ribs.

Perhaps Clarkson’s best work however was his “Edward Scissorhands” costume that he donned over the weekend.
The guard revealed his costume with his girlfriend who dressed as Winona Ryder’s character Kim from the 1990 Tim Burton movie.
Clarkson also told KSL Sports he was a fan of the recent horror franchise “X” and its prequel “Pearl.”
Ochai Agbaji The Horror Movie Buff
Jazz rookie Ochai Agbaji admitted during training camp that he considers himself a bit of a movie buff.
After Saturday’s win over the Grizzlies, Agbaji discussed some of his childhood horror favorites
“I just like the old nostalgic type of movies,” the 22-year-old said. “I like ‘Childsplay’ — the Chucky movies — Jason and ‘Friday 13th’ the ‘Halloween’ movies type stuff.”

But Agbaji isn’t limited to just horror movies from the ’80s and ’90s. The Kansas product also had suggestions for those who love the classics, and fans of modern horror.
“I just watched ‘House of Wax’, that was really good,” Agbaji said of the 1953 classic. “And’ Smile’, that was really scary.”
Will Hardy’s Go To Halloween Costume
Jazz coach Will Hardy won’t get to be with his daughters when they go trick ‘r treating on Halloween as the team will be hosting the Grizzlies, but he said he does have a go-to costume.
The 6-foot-6 Hardy said before the Jazz win on Saturday that he traditionally wears a Batman outfit, making for one intimidating Caped Crusader.
Hardy also mentioned that had he dressed up this year he likely wouldn’t have dressed as Batman. His daughters are hitting the streets as characters from Paw Patrol this year.
