Former BYU Quarterback Tosses Second Touchdown Pass In 2022

SALT LAKE CITY – Former BYU and current New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson zipped a pass into the end zone against the New England Patriots for his second touchdown pass of the 2022 season.
The Jets hosted the Patriots at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, October 30.
With 12:00 left in the second quarter, Wilson zipped an eight-yard into the end zone for Jets tight end Tyler Conklin.
Wilson’s throw gave New York a 10-3 lead.

The scoring toss capped a six-play, 75-yard drive that took 3:00.
After the strike, Wilson was 7/12 passing for 132 yards and a touchdown. He also had one carry for two yards.
Entering the game, Wilson has thrown for 693 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions with a 57.4 percent completion rate in four games this season. He’d also run for 42 yards and a score to go along with a touchdown catch. The former BYU quarterback had thrown for 3,027 yards, 10 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions with a completion percentage of 56.0 during 17 career games. Wilson has also scored five rushing touchdowns and one receiving touchdown.
Before his time in the NFL, the Corner Canyon High School product had a standout career at BYU. Wilson helped the Cougars to an 11-1 record during his final season in Provo.
Following his time at BYU, the Jets selected Wilson with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
The Jets entered Week 8 with a 5-2 record, including 1-2 at home.
