No. 9 West Stuns No. 8 West Jordan In A Shutout

SALT LAKE CITY – No. 9 West took on No. 8 West Jordan on the road and won in convincing fashion. The Panthers shutout the Jaguars, 45-0.

Quarterback Isaiah SueSue put on a show in the shutout of West Jordan. He had 100+ rushing yards and 2 rushing touchdowns in the first quarter. He added another rushing touchdown and a passing touchdown in the second quarter. The score was 31-0 at the half. Sesi Vailahi and Louie Hamiloton added rushing touchdowns in the second half for the Panthers. Kicker Ari Khadjenoury was perfect on the day, making a field goal and 6 extra point attempts.

No. 16 Layton 18 @ No. 1 Corner Canyon 63
Corner Canyon scored all of their points in the first half and Layton scored all of theirs in the second. With a 63-0 tally at the half, the outcome seemed all but decided early on. Isaac Wilson, Corner Canyon’s quarterback, had 6 passing touchdowns on the day. Elias Parkinson and Gabe Carlson scored the two touchdowns for Layton.

Corner Canyon will take on West next week, who just shutout the West Jordan Jaguars on the road.
No. 13 Mountain Ridge 21 @ No. 4 American Fork 42
This game was not even as close at it appears. Mountain Ridge scored 14 points in the fourth to make the final score more respectable. The score was 35-0 at the half. American Fork quarterback Lincoln Jackson had 4 passing touchdowns on the day, each to a different receiver. Trey Roberts, Jace Hull, Josh Andrus, and Jett Nelson all got involved in the endzone.
No. 21 Weber 9 @ No. 5 Farmington 36
This game was close at the half, 14-9 in favor of Farmington. But the Phoenix stepped up in the second half, scoring 22 unanswered points to beat the Weber Warriors. Easton Wight had three passing touchdowns for Farmington. Ben Stucki, Travis Hoopes, and Lucas Peterson all found the endzone through the air for Farmington. Marcus Miles and Travis Hoopes bith rushed in touchdowns for the Phoenix.
No. 18 Fremont 7 @ No. 2 Skyridge 43
The Skyridge Falcons unleashed a scoring attack on Fremont. Four different players had rushing touchdowns for the Falcons. Tight End Josh Davis had a rushing and receiving touchdown for Skyridge. Fremont’s fourth quarter touchdown was recorded by Brody Freestone. The Falcon’s offensive ability was on full display in this win.
No. 10 Riverton 50 @ No. 7 Davis 55
One thig is for sure, the Darts and Silverwolves know how to put up points. Fans of high-octane offense loved this matchup, a total of 105 points were scored between the two teams. Davis had 8 touchdowns, 3 rushing and 5 through the air. Josh Barker had all three of the Dart’s rushing touchdowns. Riverton also recorded 5 passing touchdowns, sharing the wealth across 4 receivers. The Silverwolves also put up a defensive touchdown from Junior Linebacker Wyatt Brown. Davis scored at least a touchdown in each quarter. Riverton went scoreless in the 1st and 3rd quarters.

No. 14 Pleasant Grove 20 @ No. 3 Bingham 28
The Bingham Miners demonstrated how consistent offense can lead to a win. They scored one touchdown in each quarter, three rushing and one passing. Havea Fotu had 2 touchdowns on the day, reaching the endzone in the first and third quarter. Shawn Cottle and Nic Staffieri recorded touchdowns for the Vikings.
