No. 6 Mountain Crest Defeats No. 3 Dixie On Last Minute Touchdown

SALT LAKE CITY – The Mountain Crest Mustangs beat the Dixie Flyers on a last minute 85-yard touchdown pass. The final score was 28-21.
No. 6 Mountain Crest 28 @ No. 3 Dixie 21
Will DeKorver, junior receiver for the Mustangs, is the hero of the day for Mountain Crest. DeKorver had two touchdowns on the day, none more important than the 85-yarder with less than 30 seconds left in the game. Casey Crofts, the Mustangs quarterback, had three touchdowns in the game. The score was 14-14 at half and 21-21 with a minute left in the game. All three of Crofts touchdown passes were for 60+ yards. Dixie had two 60+ yard touchdowns of their own.

No. 8 Cedar City 14 @ No. 1 Crimson Cliffs 33
The game was tied at the half, 14-14. The Crimson Cliffs Mustangs came out with a vengeance in the second half, scoring 19 points and leaving their opponents scoreless. Quarterback Steele Barben and receiver Boston Adamson were a dynamic duo in the game, connecting for three touchdowns through the air. Barben had 5 total passing touchdowns. Koden Lunt and Spencer Bell were the touchdown scorers for Cedar City, both getting there on the ground. The Mustangs advance to the 4A semifinals.
No. 5 Snow Canyon 20 @ No. 4 Ridgeline 41
The defending champion River Hawks took care of business in a home outing against Snow Canyon. Nate Dahle. Ridgeline’s freshman quarterback, had three rushing touchdowns on the day. Teagan Hugh recorded two rushing touchdowns for Snow Canyon. The Warriors also had a special teams touchdow, a 95-yard kick return from Will Warner. The River Hawls keep their repeat dreams alive.

No. 7 Sky View 21 @ No. 2 Desert Hills 35
Desert Hills pulls out a two touchdown victory despite a late run by the Bobcats, who scored 15 of their 21 in the final quarter. A huge three touchdown second quarter can be thanked for the Thunder’s win. Tayven Mortensen, Simon Fuailetolo, and Beau Wall all got in the endzone in the second quarter for the Thunder. Ramsey Vicars got a 40-yard pick six for the Bobcats in the fourth quarter.
