OREM, Utah – Utah Valley University has announced that it will begin construction on a new soccer-specific stadium for its Orem Campus.
The project will cost $20 million. It will be 22,000 square feet that include locker rooms, a team lounge for both the men’s and women’s teams, additional locker rooms for visiting teams and officials, 400 additional chairback seats, covered plaza seating, an MLS-style press box with a broadcast booth, and 10 luxury suites —each holding 16 guests.
World Class Facility
The naming rights sponsor is Utah Community Credit Union (UCCU).
The current head coach for the UVU men’s soccer team is former Real Salt Lake and United States national team member Kyle Beckerman.
“This is a transformational game-changer for our student-athletes,” said Dr. Jared Sumsion, UVU director of athletics. “We’re grateful for our long-term partnership with Utah Community Credit Union and shared commitment in the future of our community and state. UCCU Soccer Stadium will be among the finest in the country and will provide the best premium experience that NCAA soccer has to offer.”

Stadium Features
The soccer stadium will also offer patios on both the north and south end. A concession plaza will be located behind the chairback seats. The north endzone will feature a scoreboard and a video board. Remarkably, the stadium will provide national broadcast teams to operate within its stadium walls.
It will be one of the top soccer facilities in the entire country. A playground and a small soccer field are also in the future plans.
“I love soccer, the world’s ‘fútbol!’ UCCU Stadium will take this sport to the next level for our student-athletes and fans,” said UVU President Dr. Astrid S. Tuminez. “It will give our men’s and women’s soccer programs an exceptional competitive advantage and open many doors for our student-athletes. We are grateful to Bret VanAusdal and the team at UCCU for their vision, support, and partnership with this stadium and in so many other impactful ways on campus and in our community.”
Further details, such as the expected date of conclusion for the Utah Valley University soccer stadium will be announced at a later date.
