SALT LAKE CITY – The Salt Lake Bees will be adding a new logo to their repertoire as minor league baseball has teamed us with Marvel comics for the 2023 season.
The Bees announced the new logo in conjunction with MiLB’s “Defenders of the Diamond” theme for 2023.

The Bees plan to first wear the new logo in July of their 29th season.
Salt Lake fans are familiar with a number of different logos for the Bees; ranging from a simple, interlocked SL, to a multi-colored, ‘Abejas’ themed jersey worn periodically throughout the season.

Bees Season Review
Salt Lake finished in fourth place in the Pacific Coast League’s western division with a 70-80 record.
The Bees pitching staff garnered most of the attention as the offense battled peaks and valleys, mostly valleys, all season long. For the first time in franchise history, Salt Lake led the PCL in earned run average, finishing with a 4.70 team ERA. CΓ©sar Valdez and Jake Kalish combined for a league high ten wins.
Valdez, Jhonathan Diaz and Davis Daniel (twice) won the pitcher of the week awards. Kalish (May) and Daniel (September) each winning pitcher of the month.

In 4 starts, Daniel went 1-1 with a 2.38 ERA, allowing just 6 earned runs on 14 hits and five walks while striking out 16 in 22.2 innings. Daniel held opponents to a .175 batting average. pic.twitter.com/yOxfkECR8U— Salt Lake Bees (@SaltLakeBees) October 10, 2022
Offensively, only Kean Wong, Jake Gatewood and Dillon Thomas appeared on 100 or more games with the Bees. 29 different players were called up from Salt Lake to make an appearance with the parent club Los Angeles Angels. Six of those 29 made their major league debuts. Brendon Davis, David MacKinnon, Gerardo Reyes, Kenny Rosenberg, Michael Stefanic and Nash Walters each got the call after appearing in a Bees uniform.
Gatewood led his team with 22 home runs while playing multiple positions defensively. Thomas’ 77 runs batted in led the Bees while Wong set a franchise record with 41 stolen bases, good for third in the PCL. Outfielder Monte Harrison stole 28 bags, ninth most in the league.
