Region 10 Title Goes To Crimson Cliffs After Win Over Cedar City

SALT LAKE CITY – The Crimson Cliffs Mustangs are Region 10 champions after picking up a 48-24 win over Cedar City and a 5-1 record in region play.
Cedar City 24 @ Crimson Cliffs 48
Steele Barben threw an impressive seven touchdown passes. He connected with Mason Topalian and Luke Childs twice, and once each to Boston Adamson, Owen Peterson, and McCord Christiansen. For Cedar City, Koden Lunt threw three TD’s, one each to Ammon York, Stockton Albrecht, and Conner Hardman.
Here are all of the results in the 4A classification from the final week of the 2022 high school football regular season.
Region 10
Pine View 14 @ Desert Hills 42
The running game was strong for the Thunder with five rushing touchdowns. Tyden Morris led the way with three scores, while Marcus Anderson and Kona Crowell each added one. Noah Fuailetolo threw his lone touchdown pass to Ayzen Cummings. For Pine View, Tyler Brown and Abe Rosenland each threw a touchdown pass, connecting with Blake Stucki and Quincy Jones.
Dixie 24 @ Hurricane 14
Jalen Schultz had two touchdown passes, one each to Jaxon Barben and Blake Watson for Dixie. The Flyers jumped out to a 21-0 lead and never looked back. Will Morby added a rushing TD for Dixie. Hurricane had a passing TD from both Gerritt Grondel and Carter Ashby. Ashby had a receiving TD as did RJ Wright.
Non-Region
Maple Mountain (5A) 6 @ Mountain Crest 42
The scoring was spread out throughout the Mountain Crest Mustangs. Dontay McMurtrey had two rushing touchdowns. Cole Jones, Cole Olsen, and Dax Benson each had one rushing touchdown.
Salem Hills (5A) 31 @ Bear River 34
The game was tied at 21 heading to halftime. Salem Hills scored three points in the third quarter. In the fourth, Bear River outscored the Skyhawks 13-7. Owen Olsen had four passing touchdowns for the Bears, finding Ryker Jeppsen three times, and Weston Ballard once. Jace Roberts added a rushing touchdown. For Salem Hills, Jedi Nelson had three rushing touchdowns and one passing TD to Dagen Gammell.
