LAS VEGAS – The celebrity guest picker for the October 8th College Gameday was Rob Riggle. Riggle, a University of Kansas alum, was on hand for the Kansas/TCU clash featuring two ranked teams.
Rob Riggle picks BYU/Notre Dame
When it came time to dive into Saturday Selections, BYU/Notre Dame was one of the games on the docket that the Holey Moley star and the Gameday crew had to pick. With BYU/Notre Dame being played in Las Vegas, it’s kind of fitting that Riggle was on the Gameday set to pick this one because he once had a role in an iconic Vegas movie, The Hangover. In the face!

“I’ve got to tell you that I have a lot of friends in a lot of different places and they are all calling me telling me who to pick,” said Riggle. “The ones I trust, I listen to. I have a lot of friends in Utah, I’m going BYU.”
Desmond Howard is high on Notre Dame’s running game
“Running game for Notre Dame is going to be effective today. I think they are going to control the line of scrimmage, they have to against BYU, who is actually a physical team, too. But I have Notre Dame in a close one.”
Pat McAfee goes with BYU but calls out the defense
“I think we’ll see what Marcus Freeman is as a head coach with a bye week. This is his first bye week, we don’t know want his team is going to be. I assume, at some point, they are going to be great.
“This BYU defense, though, veteran-led, they’ve been bad. OK. They’ve been called out publicly by a lot of people. I like BYU and the Mormons in Sin City.”
Kirk Herbstreit rolls with the Irish in a “coin flip” game
“This is a coin flip kind of game. BYU getting healthy; Jaren Hall is legit at quarterback. I just feel like Notre Dame is looking at this; after their loss against Marshall, they rest their season. [Drew] Pyne is playing better at quarterback, balanced Notre Dame attack, I think they get a couple of turnovers, I’m going Notre Dame.”
