LAS VEGAS – Former Notre Dame legend Manti Te’o will be at Allegiant Stadium today to provide halftime analysis of the BYU/ND game on NBC.
Te’o is joining BYU great Chad Lewis during halftime of the broadcast, NBC announced. The kickoff of the Shamrock Series between No. 16 BYU and Notre Dame is set for 5:30 p.m. (MT) on KSL 5 TV and Peacock.

“I’m excited to be a part of the gameday experience in Las Vegas. I look forward to joining the NBC team and providing insight on the game and what it means to be a student athlete at the University of Notre Dame. Let’s get this win! Go Irish!” said Manti Te’o in a press release statement.

While Te’o and Lewis provide the analysis, hosting the halftime breakdown will be NBC’s Kathryn Tappen.
Te’o, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was recruited by BYU out of high school, faced the Cougars once during his Notre Dame career in 2012. Notre Dame won that game as they eventually played in the BCS National Championship Game that season against Alabama.

The former star linebacker who played eight seasons in the NFL was recently the subject of the popular Netflix series, “Untold: The Girlfriend Who Didn’t Exist.”
Te’o returned to South Bend for the first time since his playing days earlier this season when Notre Dame faced Cal in South Bend.
Former BYU tight end Chad Lewis was part of the 1994 victory for BYU over a nationally-ranked and Lou Holtz-led Notre Dame squad in South Bend. Lewis is currently the Associate AD for development within BYU’s athletic department. He always brings energy and passion whenever participating in interviews, so I’m sure there will be a lot of entertainment value behind his analysis.

Lewis had a nine-year career in the NFL that spanned from 1997-2005.
Heading into today’s game between BYU and Notre Dame, the Irish tabbed Te’o to be the voice of their hype video for this matchup that they released on their various social media platforms.
