SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Week 5 of the college football season is here and the local contests include an in-state matchup between BYU and Utah State on Thursday.
Utah State Aggies (1-3) vs. No. 19 BYU Cougars (3-1)
Where: LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo, Utah
When: Thursday, September 29 at 6 p.m. (MDT)
TV/Stream: ESPN
Radio: KSL NewsRadio 102.7 FM/1160 AM (BYU Radio) or KSL Sports Zone 1280 AM (Utah State Radio)
Both teams are currently going in different directions. Utah State has lost their last three games including matchups with Alabama, Weber State, and UNLV. Meanwhile, BYU is coming off of a big win over Wyoming at home last week. It’s the 91st meeting for the Battle of the Wagon Wheel. It is also the final game on the schedule between the two rivals for the foreseeable future with BYU going to the Big 12 next season.

Utah started Pac-12 play off on the right foot with a 34-13 road win against Arizona State. Oregon State is coming off a heartbreaking loss to USC at home last week. The Utes will seek revenge from last year’s loss to Oregon State in Corvallis. Utah will be without star tight end Brant Kuithe for the season after suffering an injury against ASU.
