Ezra Harris’ Five TD’s Lifts No. 7 Stansbury Past Cedar Valley

SALT LAKE CITY – The seventh-ranked Stansbury Stallions got five touchdowns from Ezra Harris in their 46-7 win over Cedar Valley on Friday night at home.

Cedar Valley 7 @ #7 Stansbury 46

Ezra Harris accounted for five touchdowns, three rushing and two passing. He connected with Brock Wilson and Dylan Hamilton. Wilson and Mateaki Helu each ran in a TD. KJ Fisher ran in Cedar Valley’s lone touchdown.

Here are all of the results in the 5A classification from the seventh week of the 2022 high school football season.

Region 5

Northridge 36 @ Viewmont 39

Viewmont jumped out to a 17-7 lead in the first half before Northridge scored 21 unanswered points in the third quarter. The Knights had 28-17 lead entering the fourth quarter. Viewmont outscored Northridge 22-8 in the fourth quarter to pick up the win.

#24 Box Elder 13 @ #21 Bountiful 14

Bountiful scored first on a touchdown run by Owen Geilman. Box Elder scored 13 straight points, including a touchdown by Daxton Sumko. With under three minutes to play in the game, Geilman found Brigham Morrison for a 37-yard touchdown.

#23 Bonneville 7 @ Woods Cross 17

After each team exchanged touchdowns, Woods Cross ended the clash with 10 straight points. Cash Henderson and Jacob Howes each ran in touchdowns for Woods Cross. Jaxon Johnson threw Bonneville’s only touchdown to Max Diaz.

Region 6

#10 Brighton 14 @ #13 East 3

Points were not scored until East made a field goal early in the third quarter. The Bengals responded with two touchdown runs by Kace Gurr in the second half to secure the road victory.

Olympus 14 @ #14 Park City 21

Olympus had a 14-7 lead in the first quarter but was held scoreless in the final three quarters. Chase Beyer threw a touchdown pass to Gavin Beichner and Mason Grover ran in a score to give the Miners the win.

Skyline 42 @ Murray 14

Josh Calvert accounted for four touchdowns, three passing and one rushing. Porter Brockman added a rushing TD. Luke Wright caught two touchdowns with Miles Hall adding one. Jaxson Mattinson had a pick-six in the win.

Region 7

Tooele 59 @ Mountain View 35

Kaden Dean had four touchdowns, two rushing and two passing. He found Wesley Tso twice. Lucas Rydalch also had two touchdown runs. Nic Arellano, Brady Grgich and Tso each added one TD. For Mountain View, Carter Burgi threw three touchdowns and ran in one.

#25 Payson 55 @ Hillcrest 35

Payson scored 34 points in the first quarter and never looked back. Kade Edwards passed for two touchdowns, one to Dylan Wall and one to Porter Beckstead. Jaxon Bulkley led the rushing attack with two touchdowns. Colby Olsen, Kelton Smith and Wall each had one score on the ground.

Timpanogos 45 @ Uintah 19

Chase Riggs had four touchdown passes and one rushing score. He connected with Easton Bretzing, Gabe Graf, Josh Graf and Luke Livingston. Bretzing added a rushing TD for the Timberwolves.

Region 8

#2 Lehi 77 @ Jordan 0

Lehi had a 70-0 lead at halftime. Jackson Brousseau and Jet Niu each threw two touchdown passes, one each to Fortunato Giunta, Kobe Moore, Mason Adams and Carson Gonzalez. Gonzalez also had three rushing touchdowns. Kolose Latu added two scores and Isaiah Allen had one.

Alta 7 @ #19 Orem 20

Tru To’a, Feleti Longi and Roger Saleapaga each had a rushing touchdown as Orem picks up a win at home. Alta’s lone touchdown came from Branko Hansell-Fotu.

Region 9

Maple Mountain 7 @ Salem Hills 46

Jedi Nelson threw one touchdown pass to Treyson Zobell for Salem Hills. Jed Hughes ran in two touchdowns, while Ryan Crippen, Roper Kay and Jackson Nelson each ran in one.

Wasatch 40 @ #11 Springville 48

Springville had a 41-17 lead entering the fourth quarter when Wasatch scored 23 points in the fourth quarter and had a chance to tie but the Red Devils held on. Ryder Burton threw a touchdown pass to Luke Nadauld. Tevita Valeti had four rushing touchdowns, while Kasanova Valeti added one score on the ground. For Wasatch, Mack Kelson threw three touchdowns. Cole Kelson passed for one TD. Crew Erickson caught three scores and Carter Bucad had one. Chris Cook added a TD on the ground.

Provo 14 @ Spanish Fork 17

The Dons scored first off of a field goal before Kyson Condie threw a touchdown pass to Lanitalo Takitaki and ran in a score. Will Dart cut the deficit to 14-10 at halftime with a rushing touchdown. Midway through the fourth quarter, Dart connected with Gabe Ashworth in the fourth quarter to put the Dons in front for good.

Non-Region

Cottonwood 9 @ Highland 52

Peizge Mailei threw three touchdowns, one each to Uli Toomalatai, Sefa Brown and Cooper Jones. Mailei and Maika Vea each ran in a touchdown. Grant Starks had two pick-sixes.
