Ravens Safety Marcus Williams Intercepts Dolphins QB For Second Time

SALT LAKE CITY – Former Utah Utes and current Baltimore Ravens safety Marcus Williams picked off Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa for the second time in the first half of Week 2.
The Ravens hosted the Miami Dolphins at M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday, September 18.
With 1:24 remaining in the first half, Williams picked off Tagovailoa and returned the ball for no gain.
It was Williams’ second interception of the half and third interception of the season. Williams’ first pick came with 10:39 left in the first quarter.

He also picked off a pass during Baltimore’s Week 1 victory before adding his two first half INTs.
The interception ended an eight-play, 21-yard drive by the Dolphins and set up a touchdown drive by the Ravens.

Baltimore took a 28-7 lead into the locker room at halftime.
In the first half, Williams recorded four total tackles, two solo tackles, two pass breakups, and two interceptions.

Last week, Williams had 12 total tackles, 10 solo tackles, one pass breakup, and an interception.
Williams is in his sixth NFL season and first with Baltimore. This offseason, the former Utah safety signed with the Ravens after five seasons with the New Orleans Saints.
The former Utah safety entered the game with career totals of 333 total tackles, 249 solo tackles, one sack, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, 16 interceptions, and a touchdown.
Baltimore’s game against Miami is televised on CBS.
