BYU Football Will Be Without Key Players Against Oregon

EUGENE, Ore. – BYU football will be without key players such as Puka Nacua against No. 25 Oregon.
The players sidelined for the Top 25 clash against the Ducks are Nacua and fellow wide receiver teammate Gunner Romney. Defensive linemen Tyler Batty and Earl Tuioti-Mariner are also out for BYU.

Puka Nacua was considered a game-time decision. Hopes for Nacua to play jumped up when photos surfaced yesterday on the BYU football social media that he made the trip to Eugene.
But the ankle injury that Nacua suffered against USF is keeping him sidelined again for another Top 25 game.
Nacua showed up at Autzen Stadium sporting a book on the injured ankle. Gunner Romney didn’t make the trip at all. BYU defensive lineman Tyler Batty made the trip but didn’t participate in warmups. He noted to the Cougar Tracks Podcast that he was day-to-day.

Earl Tuioti-Mariner is one of the top defensive ends for BYU this season.
Without Batty and Tuioti-Mariner, BYU will turn to players such as Fisher Jackson, Logan Lutui, and John Nelson.

At wide receiver, Chase Roberts, Brayden Cosper, Keanu Hill, and Terence Fall are some of the top wideouts in the game. Then BYU also has tight ends Isaac Rex, Dallin Holker, and Masen Wake.
