Following another Ridgeline possession, the Bobcats drove down the field eating up clock. After a holding penalty near the goal line, Sky View was forced to kick the ball. A 41-yard field goal by Calebe de Quadros extended the Bobcats’ lead t0 9-0 with 2:19 left until halftime.
At the break, Sky View took a 9-0 lead into the locker room.
The Bobcats continued to march down the field on their opening possession of the second half. With 6:07 left in the third quarter, Michael Ferguson took a direct snap and ran it across the goal line for a Sky View touchdown and 16-0 lead.
With 2:11 remaining in the third quarter, Brevin Egbert broke up the middle and took the ball about 55 yards to the end zone. Egbert’s burst broke the game open and put Sky View up 23-0.
Late in the third quarter, the Riverhawks found the end zone for the first time. Ridgeline’s TD made it a 23-6 contest after a failed two-point conversion.
Sky View was quick to respond. With 11:27 left in the fourth quarter, Egbert busted into the end zone for his second score of the night. He set up his TD run with a 68-yard run earlier in the drive.
