Bountiful Hands No. 12 Bonneville First Loss Of Season

SALT LAKE CITY – The 12th-ranked Bonneville Lakers are undefeated no more after the Bountiful Redhawks picked up a 23-14 road win on Friday night.
The Redhawks limited the Lakers on offense and handed them their first loss of the season. Owen Geilman had one passing touchdown to Russell Smith and ran in another score. Britton Tidwell’s pick-six sealed the win for Bountiful. Jaxon Johnson ran in both of Bonneville’s touchdowns.
1-0 on the week. Great win against a tough Bonneville team.

Here are all of the results in the 5A classification from the sixth week of the 2022 high school football season.
Region 5
Viewmont 31 @ Box Elder 55
The Bees held a 35-25 lead entering the fourth quarter before they dropped 20 points and held the Vikings to just six points. Ryan Griffin threw his lone touchdown pass to Mason Jeppsen for Box Elder. Easton White led the rushing attack with two touchdowns on the ground. Daxton Sumko, Cole Mortensen and Jeppsen each ran in one score. For Viewmont, Luke Jacobs and Miles McGrath each had two rushing touchdowns.
Woods Cross 35 @ Northridge 21
The Knights scored all 21 of their points in the first half and were shut out in the second half. Lock Smoot threw his only touchdown pass in the game to Parker Burden. Cash Henderson and Jacob Howes each had two rushing scores for the Wildcats. Malikai Williams accounted for three touchdowns, two passing and one rushing. He found Malu Lumpkins and Jaxon Fresques.
Region 6
#14 Brighton 41 @ Skyline 23
Kace Gurr led the Bengals with three rushing touchdowns. Mason Haertel added a rushing TD. Jack Johnson threw his lone touchdown pass to Nash Matheson. For Skyline, Bo Tate and Porter Brockman found the end zone. Josh Calvert connected with Luke Wright through the air.

#16 Park City 21 @ Highland 16
The Miners had a 21-3 lead at halftime off of three touchdowns by Brayden Beyer, two receiving and one rushing. In the second half, Highland had a rushing touchdown from Peizge Mailei and he found Cooper Jones for a score in the fourth quarter but the comeback came up short.
#20 East 29 @ #24 Olympus 7
The score was 8-7 in favor of East in the first half before the Leopards scored 21 unanswered in the second half. Tucker McCormick ran in a touchdown and threw a score to Spencer Black. Omar Shah and Amini Amone each added rushing touchdowns. Luke Bryant had the Titans’ only touchdown.
Region 7
#8 Stansbury 34 @ Tooele 0
Ezra Harris threw four touchdown passes, connecting with Dylan Hamilton twice and once each to Brock Wilson and Trent Jones. Mateaki Helu added a rushing TD.
Timpanogos 23 @ Cedar Valley 45
Cedar Valley had an 18-17 lead at halftime before outscoring the Timberwolves 27-6 in the second half. Cooper Thomson accounted for four touchdowns, two passing and two rushing. He found Issac Cline and Bryan Vogl. Joe Lomu added two rushing touchdowns and Clayson Jakins found the end zone. For Timpanogos, Luke Livingston had two passing touchdowns, one each to Easton Bretzing and Marlee Iosefo. Bretzing also had a rushing touchdown.

Mountain View 41 @ Hillcrest 31
After trailing 12-7 in the first half, Mountain View outscored Hillcrest 21-7 in the third quarter. Carter Burgi found the end zone twice on the ground for the Bruins. Micah Madry ran in a touchdown and threw two, one each to Stevie Hoskins and Zion Jackson for Hillcrest.
Uintah 26 @ #25 Payson 43
Kade Edwards threw three touchdowns for Payson in the win. He found Dylan Wall twice and Jaxton Howard once. Jaxon Bulkey added a rushing touchdown and Porter Beckstead had a pick-six. For Uintah, Chase Harding threw three touchdown passes and JD Pickup had one. They connected with Jaron Colton three times and Kaysten Ussery once.
Region 8
Alta 14 @ #4 Timpview 42
Helaman Casuga threw three touchdowns, finding Jared Esplin twice and Quezon Villa once. Micah Beckstead ran in two touchdowns, while Kerven Tua’one added one on the ground.
#21 Orem 56 @ Jordan 2
Lance Reynolds threw three touchdown passes, connecting with Roger Saleapaga twice and Asher Young once. Konrad Toatua finished with two rushing touchdowns, while Kaneal Sweetwyne and Feleti Iongi each had one TD. Iongi also had a punt return for a touchdown.

Region 9
#23 Provo 14 @ #13 Springville 18 (Thurs.)
Springville scored first on a rushing touchdown by Tevita Valeti. Provo answered with a rushing TD by Tagai Lesa. The Red Devils took the lead back with Tisi Valeti finding the end zone. The Bulldogs got the lead back with a 100-yard pick-six by Drew Deucher. Springville scored the game-winning touchdown with a two-yard run by Tevita Valeti midway through the fourth quarter.
Spanish Fork 17 @ Salem Hills 14
Spanish Fork had a 10-0 lead on a field goal and a Kaden Vest rushing touchdown. Salem Hills responded with a touchdown connection between Jackson Nelson and Alex Cloward and another TD between Jedi Nelson and Jed Hughes. With the Skyhawks holding a 14-10 lead with under two minutes remaining, Vest ran in another touchdown to give the Dons the lead and the win.
Wasatch 55 @ Maple Mountain 17
Mack Kelson passed for four touchdowns, three to Crew Erickson and one to Carter Bucad. Max Madson led the rushing attack with three touchdowns, along with one from Chris Cook for the Wasps.
Non-Region
Fremont 0 @ #2 Lehi 46
Kolose Latu had two rushing touchdowns, along with one each from Isaiah Allen, Grayson Brousseau, and Carson Gonzalez. Hema Katoa had a pick-six.
Murray 28 @ Cottonwood 41
Brock Simpson and Roman Caywood each threw a passing touchdown. Caywood also caught a TD as did Kaelen Gray. Jaxon Martinez led the Colts with three rushing touchdowns.
