Snow Canyon Cruises Past Hurricane In Big Shutout

SALT LAKE CITY – The Snow Canyon Warriors blanked the Hurricane Tigers, 47-0.

The Warriors scored 33 points in the first half and cruised to the win. Warriors quarterback Hunter Johnson threw three touchdown passes. Johnson and Max Reynolds each scored a pair of rushing touchdowns in the game. With the win, the Warriors improved to 3-3 and the Tigers dropped to 1-5.

Region 10
Cedar City 31 @ Pine View 28 OT
The Cedar City Reds came away victorious after a 31-28 overtime contest against the Pine View Panthers. Cedar City tied the game with a touchdown pass from Koden Lunt to Logen Wesolowski with less than eight minutes left in the game. The Reds went on to capture the game in overtime thanks to a 38-yard field goal by Parker Kucifer. Lunt finished the game with three total touchdowns. With the result, the Reds improved to 3-3 and the Panthers fell to 0-5.

Desert Hills 56 @ Dixie 21
The Desert Hills Thunder took down the Dixie Flyers on Friday, 56-21. After a 7-7 first quarter, the Thunder outscored the Flyers, 42-7, over the next two quarters. Kona Crowell, Tyden Morris, and Noah Fuailetolo each accounted for two touchdowns. With the result, the Thunder improved to a 4-2 record and the Flyder fell to 3-2.
Region 11
Bear River 41 @ Logan 20
The Bear River Bears beat the Logan Grizzlies, 41-20. Bear River started the game with an early touchdown and never looked back. A 28-point first half helped the Bears take down the Grizzlies. Ryker Jeppsen accounted for four Bear River touchdowns. With the result, the Bears moved to 2-4 and the Grizzlies dropped to 3-3.
Green Canyon 0 @ Mountain Crest 14
The Mountain Crest Mustangs ran past the Green Canyon Wolves on Friday, 14-0. Mountain Crest scored a touchdown in the second quarter on a connection between Casey Crofts and Thatcher Phelps. The Mustangs final score came in the fourth quarter on a run by Dontay McMurtrey. With the result, the Mustangs moved to 3-3 and the Wolves fell to a 1-5 record this season.
