SALT LAKE CITY – Chargers safety Derwin James Jr. body slammed Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce for a massive tackle during Los Angeles’ game against Kansas City.
The Chiefs hosted the Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium on Thursday, September 15.
With 30 seconds remaining in the third quarter, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes escaped pressure from Los Angeles before throwing a dart down the field to Kelce. After making the catch, Kelce fought his way towards the goal line before getting picked up off the ground and thrown violently to the ground by James.
The huge tackle halted Kelce’s progress at an 18-yard gain to the Chargers’ three-yard line.
