Former Utah DB Marcus Williams Snags INT In Debut With Ravens

SALT LAKE CITY – Former Utah Utes and current Ravens defensive back Marcus Williams hauled in an interception in his debut with Baltimore.
The New York Jets hosted the Ravens at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, September 11.
With 4:56 remaining in the opening quarter, Williams picked off Jets quarterback Joe Flacco and returned the pigskin 33 yards to New York’s 13-yard line. Four plays later, the Ravens kicked a field goal to take a 3-0 lead.

During his opening minutes with the Ravens, Williams had three total tackles, two solo tackles, one pass breakup, and an interception.
Williams is in his sixth NFL season and first with Baltimore. This offseason, the former Utah safety signed with the Ravens after five seasons with the New Orleans Saints.
During his NFL career, Williams had totaled 321 total tackles, 239 solo tackles, one sack, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, 15 interceptions, and a touchdown.
Baltimore’s game against New York is televised on CBS.
