PROVO, Utah – Does anything else scream that BYU football is back than a Monday uniform reveal?
Well, other things are probably more synonymous with BYU football. But the weekly Monday uniform announcement is becoming a tradition during the season.

With game week upon us, the 25th-ranked BYU football team announced what they would wear against the USF Bulls this Saturday in Tampa. BYU will wear white uniforms, pants, helmets, and navy blue numbers and trim.
BYU wore this uniform combination once last year, and they were 1-0 with a victory in the Pac-12 against Washington State.
BYU football will wear the same threads they wore in 2019 against USF
What’s also significant about this uniform combination is that these were the same threads that BYU wore in the loss to USF in 2019. That was BYU’s last visit to Tampa and Jaren Hall’s first career start as a starting quarterback.
In recent years, BYU has made it a point of emphasis to allow the players to choose which uniforms they wear each game. Last year, BYU had 26 uniform combinations available to them for the 2021 season. However, they haven’t officially announced their number of combinations in 2022.
BYU has a new equipment director, Josh Hewitt, who came to Provo from a few seasons in Las Vegas with the UNLV football program. Over the weekend, he prepared BYU’s travel bags and tags for the team’s first travel of the year. The Cougars will leave on Thursday afternoon for Tampa.
BYU will kick off against USF on Saturday, September 3 at 2 p.m. (MT) on ESPNU and KSL NewsRadio. KSL Sports will be on location in Tampa with live extended pre-game coverage on KSL NewsRadio and a special college football preview show on KSL 5 TV, both at 10 a.m.
