Game Night Live: No. 24 Olympus Captures Road Win After Handling Kearns

SALT LAKE CITY – Olympus went into Kearns and took a dominating 38-16 win over Kearns to knock the Cougars to 0-3.
Charlie Sherwood starred for the Titans as the running back scored two touchdowns on the day. Titan passer Chase Moseley threw for two touchdowns on the night.
The difference on the night was special teams as Olympus blocked several punts and the defense forced three turnovers on the night.
With the win Olympus moved to 2-1 on the year and Kearns falls to 0-3.
First Quarter
Olympus kicked an early field goal and took a 3-0 lead. Asher Gubler with the kick that gave Olympus the lead.
Two drives later Kody Barrett blocks a punt and gives Kearns the ball at the Olympus three-yard line.
Kymani Fauatea on the very next play runs the ball into the endzone for the touchdown. Kearns took a 7-3 lead at that point.
Chase Moseley throws an out route to Luke Bryant who takes the play 32 yards for a touchdown. The Titans take a 10-7 lead over Kearns.
Nash Taylor picks off Bryce Benson, on the very next play Chase Moseley throws a 50 yard bomb to Caden Lloyd who bobbles the catch but brought it in and went to the endzone. Olympus takes a 17-7 lead.
Second Quarter
The Cougars kick a field goal Felipe Alfaro makes it 17-10.
Olympus goes for a fake field goal, Luke Bryant takes a perfectly executed fake kick to the house. Bryant cut past three defenders and found his way to the endzone. Olympus took a 24-10 lead on the brilliant bit of trickery.
Olympus goes into the half with a 24-10 lead.
Third Quarter
Tayvion Rodarte runs it in from one yard out but the extra point is missed Olympus with a 24-16 lead.
Fourth Quarter
Nick Brown intercepts a pass to start the fourth Olympus second turnover forced of the day.
Kearns blocks a punt that then jumps through a Kearns players hands and is recovered by Olympus. A play in which the Kearns player just should have let the ball die. At the end of the sequence, Olympus gets the ball at the Kearns 40.
Charles Sherwood then takes a toss nearly 40 yards to the house, the PAT goes through the uprights and Olympus took a 31-16 lead.
Olympus crushes Bryce Benson and a throwaway pops into the air and is picked off by the Titans.
Sherwood then takes another run to the house. His second touchdown of the night. Olympus took a 38-16 lead.
