SALT LAKE CITY – It was mothers night at practice for an Illinois high school football program that decided to let the moms have some fun.
News station WMBD in Peoria, Illinois gathered footage of a drill that the mothers did during practice. They let the moms put on pads and a helmet and allowed them to tackle their sons.
KSL Sports Zone host and college football analyst Hans Olsen decided to break down the technique of the tackles that were shown on the footage.
I did a full breakdown of Moms Tackling Sons. Have a laugh…. It’s important now days. pic.twitter.com/9AkWVrxnav

Olsen started his breakdown by critiquing the group photo and pointing out the mothers that were flexing or showing excitement and even pointed out a mother that was trying to leave but ended up back in the photo.
During the first tackle, Olsen was impressed.
“Not a bad tackle here,” Olsen said. “Son hasn’t been too bad, I guess.”
The second one was very impressive to Olsen.
“Take a look at this one,” stated Olsen. “Her son has been asked to do dishes, has been asked to vacuum, has been asked to be a better brother and hasn’t been. So, mom is going to launch right here. She is going to get her head onto the side. That’s a really good shot.”
“This mom (fourth tackle) is going to come run right to her son, run to the side,” Olsen mentioned. “Shoulder in, blow him up.”
Later in the video, Olsen was concerned about a mother that went toward her son and was standing straight up and bounced off of her son and landed on the ground.
“She’s playing with loose pads, it’s going to get you hurt,” said Olsen. “Get that shoulder down, mom. Drop the heat on that boy.”
