PROVO, Utah – We’re still trying to figure out what BYU mascot Cosmo can’t do.
Everyone knows about Cosmo’s viral dancing, the three-point line dunks, and a National Championship. But Cosmo doesn’t appear to be stopping there.
BYU’s lovable mascot can add parachuting to his list of accomplishments.
#BYU players got quite the simulated gameday experience at LES this morning.

On Saturday morning, before BYU’s second scrimmage at LaVell Edwards Stadium, in a partnership with Built Bar, Cosmo flew into LES for the football team.
BYU football players were cheering on Cosmo as he touched down on the grass at LES.

The new Director of Compliance for the football team, Kurt Hunsaker, shared an epic shot of Cosmo flying into the stadium. Also, who says no to this being a new tradition? Auburn has War Eagle flying around on game days at Jordan-Hare. So why not have Cosmo fly around Provo for a big game?
On second thought, there was once a parachute crash at the 2017 BYU-Wisconsin game. But hey, this is Cosmo we’re talking about here.

Last year, Built Bar made national headlines by landing individual NIL deals with BYU football walk-ons that would cover the cost of their tuition.
The specific details of Saturday’s announcement have not come out. But having Cosmo fly in on a parachute caught the attention of BYU’s coaches.
“That was pretty impressive,” said BYU Passing Game Coordinator Fesi Sitake to KSL Sports about Cosmo’s parachuting display. “It was an awesome reveal today. We’re super excited with our continued partnership with Built Bar. Really cool scenery today and a moment for our guys to kind of look up and see Cosmo skydiving into LaVell Edwards Stadium. I don’t think many players across the country can say they’ve seen their mascot skydive right onto the field. So a pretty cool moment.”
