Game Night Live: No. 10 Farmington Handles No. 20 Bountiful

SALT LAKE CITY – The 10th ranked Farmington Phoenix defeated the 20th ranked Bountiful Redhawks by a score of 24-3 in the Game Night Live Game of the Week.

In the win the Stucki family starred as both Ben and Adam Stucki scored a touchdown.

Farmington passer Easton Wight throws two touchdown passes in the win as Farmington gets the win and take a 2-0 record going into week 3.

Bountiful’s offense struggled throughout the game on offense and were only able to score three points on the night. Farmington’s defense dominated the night and put up three sacks on the evening while forcing two turnovers in the process.

Farmington had 222 yards passing while Bountiful did not crack 100 yards.

First Quarter

Farmington’s Adam Stucki got an interception off of Bountiful QB Owen Geilman.

Farmington’s Easton Wight then threw a beautiful deep ball to Ben Stucki for a touchdown. The Stucki brothers forced the turnover then scored the touchdown to take an early seven-to-nothing lead over Bountiful.

Farmington blocked a punt and got the ball to start a drive at the 15 yard line.

The drive comes to nothing though as Farmington settled for a field goal to make the game 10-0.

Second Quarter

Wight was intercepted by Britton Tidwell half way through the second quarter to put the Bountiful offense, but the turnover is wiped away by off-setting penalties.

The two teams went into half with Farmington leading 10-0. Farmington’s defense was great in the first half racking up 2 sacks in the first half.

Third Quarter

Jaxson Eastman took a pass thrown behind the line of scrimmaged and missed by the running back, to the house as Farmington took a 17-0 lead on a costly mis throw by Owen Geilman. The ball was thrown a bit to high and tipped off the running backs hands.

Eastman made a high I.Q. football play and just kept running with the ball, all the way to the end zone for a touchdown.

Adam Stucki catches a touchdown throw from Wight in the end zone, a perfect touch pass that put Farmington up 24-0 over Bountiful.

Fourth Quarter

Ben Smith forces a fumble to start the fourth quarter and get Bountiful the ball back down by 24. Bountiful also gets a huge penalty gain of 30 yards to start the drive at the Farmington 35.

Faletau Satuala came in at QB for Bountiful.

The drive ends though with only a field goal as Farmington still lead 24-3.

Farmington wins the game 24-3. A tough night for the Bountiful offense as Farmington racks up three sacks and forces two turnovers. Bountiful falls to 1-1 while Farmington advances to 2-0.
