SALT LAKE CITY – The Lone Peak Knights scored in all three phases as they leave the state of California with a 49-20 win against Bishop Alemany on Friday.

Here are all of the results in the 6A classification from the second week of the 2022 high school football season.

Woods Cross (5A) 27 @ Kearns 13 (Thurs.)

The Cougars started the game with a pair of field goals. Woods Cross countered with a FG of their own in the second quarter before Tayvion Rodarte scored Kearns’ first touchdown of the game. Skyler Armentas’ six-yard touchdown run lifts Cyprus over Highland in what can only be described as a defensive slobber knocker. Cyprus move to 2-0 on the season.

#4 American Fork 48 @ #18 Weber 22

The Cavemen got off to a great start with 35 points in the first half and held Weber to 16. The Warriors scored six points in the third quarter to make things interesting but American Fork outscored Weber 13-0 in the fourth to pull off the win. A close game at Granger with Mountain Ridge scoring 10 points in the second quarter. They got a touchdown from Jaxson Reiser to Jaren Dickson and a field goal. Ricky Mamone found Matthew Jones for a touchdown to pull the Lancers within three points in the fourth but it wasn’t enough to pull off the upset.

Northridge 28 @ #25 Layton 45

The Lancers put up 28 points in the first half and that was enough to take down Northridge. Tyler Wensel threw two touchdown passes, one to Trey Reid and one to Elias Parkinson. Wensel also added a rushing score. Braxton Martin found the end zone twice on the ground for Layton.

#6 West Panthers 0 @ Mater Dei (CA) 42

It was a tough night for the Panthers against one of the best programs in the country.
