SALT LAKE CITY – BYU football landed a commit over the summer that could be a steal for the Cougars.
That player is Skyline High standout Miles Hall.
Hall, a 6-foot-2, 195-pound athlete in the 2023 recruiting class, put together an impressive performance to kick off his senior year at Skyline. A performance that KSL Sports Live featured on Saturday.

In Skyline’s 55-7 win over Juan Diego, Hall recorded three touchdown receptions. All three of Hall’s touchdown catches were in the first half, a 26-yarder and a pair of 45-yard touchdown grabs.
Miles Hall could play defense for BYU football
Hall committed to BYU last month. His recruitment was light as the Cougars and Utah State were the only two FBS offers that Hall reports. However, Hall was on BYU’s recruiting radar for a while, and his recruitment with BYU began picking up in the spring after he paid a visit to one of BYU’s spring practice sessions.
What’s interesting about Hall is that he projects as a defensive player at BYU. So he could be a defensive back or a linebacker when he arrives in Provo.
But if Aaron Roderick and Fesi Sitake want to keep him around on the offensive side, Hall appears to have the skills to be a productive receiver.
Hall is currently the 15th overall prospect in Utah for the class of 2023 on the 247Sports Composite ratings. He’s a three-star prospect and is rated as the 129th overall prospect in the “Athlete” category in the composite ratings.
Hall is one of 12 commits in BYU’s 2023 recruiting class.
