SALT LAKE CITY – The Ray Guy Award preseason watchlist was announced on Wednesday which included BYU’s Ryan Rehkow and USU’s Stephen Kotsanlee.
The Ray Guy Award is given annually to the top punter in college football and Kotsanlee and Rehkow are two guys in the state to keep an eye on for that award. The Augusta Sports Council (ASC) selected the players on the watchlist.
Kotsanlee appeared in all 14 games last season for the Aggies as the holder on extra points and field goals while also punting. He punted 53 times and averaged 42.5 yards per attempt. That average is the ninth-best single-season average in school history and ranked seventh in the Mountain West and 50th in the country.

Through his Utah State career, the Melbourne, Australia native has 90 punts for an average of 41.8 yards per attempt, which is tied for seventh in school history.
Kotsanlee was also a first-team All-Mountain West selection by Athlon Sports and Phil Steele.
