Every game in The Basketball Tournament concludes with a game-winning shot due to the Elam Ending. The Elam Ending consists of the game clock going off at the first dead ball under four minutes. After that, teams target a specific score of eight more points than the leading team’s score at the stoppage.
In the case of The Money Team versus Men of Mackey, the first team needed to reach 91 to come away with a victory.
Fredette’s Money Team squad was up 89-75. Fredette, who is making his second appearance in TBT, was wide open on the wing. The Money Team guard Jordan Crawford, a staple of Fredette’s TBT teams over the years, found Fredette and passed to him. Jimmer did what he does best, knocking down treys from deep to give The Money Team a victory.
The former Naismith Trophy winner in 2011 finished with 21 points on 5-of-13 shooting and dished out four assists.
