SALT LAKE CITY – The countdown for Hans & Scotty’s 60 in 60 is on. Coming in at #16 is BYU’s Gunner Romney (WR).
Throughout the summer Hans & Scotty are counting down the top 60 college football players in the state of Utah as voted on by the media (and a fan ballot).
“A big-time receiver for us,” BYU head coach Kalani Sitake said of his wide receiver. “He has made big plays. The key is to keep him healthy. Deep-threat down the field, very much like our other receivers. Can turn a small route into a big play. Really looking forward to his senior campaign.”
BYU’s Gunner Romney
Romney is a senior from Chandler, Arizona. He prepped at Chandler High School where they won back-to-back 6A state titles as a junior and a senior. While in high school, Romney participated in the Nike Opening Camp and was named MVP. He is the nephew of former BYU wide receiver Matt Allen. His brother Baylor is a former BYU quarterback.
