Four-Star TE Jackson Bowers Commits To BYU Football

SALT LAKE CITY – The BYU Football program received a big commitment on Friday afternoon from four-star tight end Jackson Bowers from Arizona.
Jackson Bowers is a four-star tight end from Mountain View High School in Mesa, Arizona that will be playing for BYU at the collegiate level.
Bowers is the No. 16 ranked tight end in the nation and the No. 5 ranked prospect in the state of Arizona, according to the 247Sports composite.
The Mesa, Arizona native announced his decision on social media on Friday.
“First off, I would like to thank my family, especially my mom,” Bowers said in a video posted on social media. “I would like to thank the whole Mountain View football community, my teammates, and coaches. I’d like to thank my D-1 seven-on-seven family. I would like to thank my trainers and everyone who helped me gain this ability to play football at a high level. With that said, for the next three to four years I will be committing to Brigham Young University.”

Prior to the announcement on Friday, Bower posted his top seven on April 24, which included BYU, Alabama, Arizona, Auburn, Ole Miss, Oregon and Washington. Those were the hats that he had on the table for his announcement.
Bowers had his official visit to BYU on June 3, 2022. He received offers from BYU, Arizona, Washington, Alabama, Arizona State, Auburn, Baylor, California, Cincinnati, Colorado, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Louisville, LSU, Michigan State, Missouri, Nevada, Ole Miss, Oregon, Oregon State, Texas, UNLV, USC, Utah, West Virginia, and Yale.
Bowers is the eighth prospect to verbally commit to BYU in the 2023 class. He joined three-star Timpview HS athlete Pokaiaua Haunga, three-star Washington athlete Leo Pulalasi, three-star Springville HS QB Ryder Burton, three-star Hawai’i DL Stanley Raass, three-star Arizona LB Pierson Watson, Texas RB Landen Chambers, and Skyline HS athlete Miles Hall.
