Tony Finau Concludes The Travelers Championship With Top 15 Finish

SALT LAKE CITY – Tony Finau has concluded The Travelers Championship in a share of 13th following a one-under-par final round. Over the course of the four days, Finau managed to post a 10-under-par total but still finished nine shots behind champion Xander Schauffele.
Finau began his final round with a double bogey on the first hole before dropping his first birdie of the day on the ninth to make the turn at one-over. On the back nine, Finau managed a bogey on the par 3 11th before rallying off three closing birdies on 12, 13, and 16.
But the day belonged to Schauffele who fired a two-under-par final round to win by two shots.
Sahith Theegala and J. T. Poston grabbed a share of second while Michael Thorbjornsen finished in third.
Other notables in the field included Kevin Kisner (T6), Webb Simpson (T13), Patrick Cantlay (T13), Scottie Scheffler (T13), Rory Mcllroy (T19), and Mathew Wolff (T40).
Finau is next expected to be in the field for the upcoming John Deere Classic as he prepares for The Open Championship scheduled to be held at St. Andrews starting on July 14.
