PROVO, Utah – Summer just officially kicked off, but it already feels like BYU football is here. The 2022 BYU Football Media Day is today at the BYU Broadcasting Building on campus.
This year’s media day festivities are the last of the Independence era. BYU has been an FBS Independent since 2011, but beginning in 2023, the Cougs will be members of the Big 12 Conference.

But first, Kalani Sitake’s program must take care of a schedule that features five Power Five programs. Four of those five could be on the preseason AP Top 25 poll this fall.
BYU has high expectations for this season as they finished last year ranked No. 19 in the final rankings. They have the second-most returning production in college football for the upcoming year.
KSL Sports will have you covered throughout the day to keep you up to speed on the latest from the final installment of BYU Football Media Day as an Independent program.
