FIFA Announces Host Cities For 2026 World Cup

SALT LAKE CITY – FIFA announced on Thursday afternoon the host cities for the 2026 World Cup that will take place in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
The Twitter account for FIFA announced the 16 host cities that will hold World Cup games at their venues in 2026. Of the 16 host cities, two are in Canada, three are in Mexico and 11 are in the United States.

2026 FIFA World Cup Host Cities
Starting with Canada, Vancouver was chosen as a host city. BC Place is the home of the Vancouver Whitecaps in Major League Soccer. That stadium holds over 50,000 seats.
Toronto will host World Cup games in 2026. BMO Field is the host stadium for Toronto FC in MLS with a 30,000-seat capacity.
The three host cities in Mexico, include Mexico City, Monterrey and Guadalajara. Mexico City has Aztec Stadium, which is the home of Club America, Cruz Azul and the Mexico National Team. That stadium holds 87,523. Also, Estadio Ciudad de los Deportes holds 36,681 seats and is the home of Atlante FC.
In Guadalajara, Jalisco Stadium is the home to Atlas FC, Leones Negros UdeG and CD Oro. Their stadium holds 55,110 seats.
Monterrey has a couple of stadiums that could host World Cup matches. University Stadium is the home of Tigres UANL and holds 42,000 seats. Also, Estadio BBVA holds 51,000 seats and is the home of CF Monterrey, who faced Real Salt Lake in the CONCACAF Champions League Final.
In the United States, New York/New Jersey will host games at Metlife Stadium, which is the home of the New York Jets and Giants.
Boston will host games at Gillette Stadium, where the New England Patriots and Revolution play.
Miami is another host city and will hold its games at Hard Rock Stadium. Philadelphia Lincoln Financial Field, home of the Eagles. Atlanta will have games at Mercedes Benz Stadium, where the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United play.
Dallas, Texas will hold its World Cup matches at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys. Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City and home of the Chiefs is a host city for the World Cup.
Houston will hold their games at NRG Stadium, where the Texans play. SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles just hosted the Super Bowl and will now host World Cup games in 2026.
San Francisco will play their games at Levi’s Stadium, while Seattle will host the World Cup at Lumen Field, home of the Seahawks and Sounders.
