Utah Falconz To Play In National Champion Title IX Game
SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Falconz earned a spot in the 2022 Women’s National Football Conference National Champion Title IX Game.
The title game will take place on Sunday, June 26 at Star Stadium in Frisco, Texas.
Utah will face the Texas Elite Spartans in the National Champion Title IX Game.
The Falconz reached the championship contest as a No. 4 seed in this year’s postseason.
On the way to the title game, Utah beat the San Diego Rebellions and Denver Bandits, who were both previously undefeated. The Falconz made WNFC history by becoming the first team to beat two undefeated clubs on the way to reaching the championship.
It will be Utah’s second title facing Texas Elite in the championship game. The Falconz and Spartans previously faced off for the league title in 2019. Texas Elite won that matchup by five points.
Due to “extreme and rising travel costs,” the Falconz have set up a GoFundMe* page with a goal of $20,000 to help the team get to the championship game. As of June 15, $1,445 of Utah’s goal had been raised.
The 2022 National Champion Title IX Game will be streamed via Vyre Sports.
