SALT LAKE CITY – The countdown for Hans & Scotty’s 60 in 60 is on. Coming in at #39 is Utah’s Faybian Marks (CB).
Throughout the summer Hans & Scotty are counting down the top 60 college football players in the state of Utah as voted on by the media (and a fan ballot).
“We really missed him last year when he broke his ankle in the Arizona game,” Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham said of his cornerback. “He should be back 100 percent, wasn’t able to participate in spring ball but will be able to participate in the summer conditioning. We look for him to be a major contributor in the secondary.”

Prior to attending Utah, the cornerback was a standout player at George Ranch High School. As a senior, Marks had two interceptions and two forced fumbles. He also recorded a touchdown reception as a receiver on offense. Marks earned second-team all-district honors in his final season at George Ranch. 247Sports, ESPN, and Rivals rated him as a three-star prospect coming out of high school.
As a freshman for the Utes in 2020, Marks played in all five of Utah’s games. He finished the year with five total tackles, two solo tackles, one interception, and two pass breakups.
Last season, Marks helped Utah to a 10-4 record, the school’s first-ever Pac-12 Conference title, and a berth to the Rose Bowl Game.
Mark recorded 24 total tackles, 19 solo tackles, and two pass breakups in 10 games. Marks started seven games for the Utes before suffering an injury late in the 2021 season.
This fall, the Utes will open their 2022 schedule on the road against the Florida Gators. The Utes and Gators will play on September 3. Utah’s first home game is against the Southern Utah Thunderbirds on September 10.
