This past spring Utah’s 20 sports programs recorded a collective 3.30 GPA, which extended the Utes’ current record of a 3.0 GPA or higher to 32 straight semesters. What makes this streak especially impressive is the added difficulty of managing respective sports and performing them at a high-level.
Leaders Of The Pack
Women’s tennis had the highest GPA this spring semester for the Utes with a 3.863. In men’s sports, the ski team led the way with a 3.438. Utah track and field/cross country posted an impressive 3.537 GPA while in the middle of their season.

Other Spring Athletic Academic Notes
This past spring semester saw 54 student-athletes earn a 4.0 GPA. 188 student athletes, or 36% made the Dean’s List and 400, or 83% made the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll (3.0+). All together that means 75% of the Utes’ student-athletes hit the A-B grade range last semester.
2021-2022 Was A Good School Year
Collectively for the 2021-2022 academic school year, the Utes shined in the classroom as much as they did on the field/court/floor. Utah ended the collective school year with a 3.315 GPA coming up just a hair short of the record set last school year of 3.407. Overall 38% of Utah’s student-athletes made the Dean’s List (3.5+) all while maintaining 12 credit hours (full-time enrollment). 75% of Utah’s student-athletes made the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2021-2022 school year and 11% earned a 4.0 GPA.
