SALT LAKE CITY – Jazz Gaming standout center Spencer “Ria” Wyman has been named the NBA 2K League Player of the Week for Week 8 of the season.
The NBA 2K League is in its fifth season and Spencer “Ria” Wyman has earned his first Player of the Week honors for Jazz Gaming. He averaged 23.5 points, 17.5 rebounds, 2.3 steals and 2.3 blocks per game, while shooting 80% (30-36 FGA) from the floor. His big week included a career game against T-Wolves Gaming, where he finished with a season-high 36 points on 16-of-19 shooting, along with a career-high 24 rebounds to go with three assists, four steals and three blocks.
Ria was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 NBA 2K League Draft. His other career accolades include back-to-back All-NBA 2K League First Team honors in 2020 and 2021, NBA 2K All-Defensive Team in 2020 and 2021 NBA 2K League Three-For-All All-Tournament Team.
“We are all very proud of Ria for receiving his first Player of the Week award,” said Jazz Gaming head coach Jelani “Comp” Mitchell. “It is very difficult for a center to earn this recognition and it is a testament to the hard work he has put in over the years. He is a leader of this team, and this is a well-deserved honor.”
